Why It Works

Cetyl Alcohol : Cetearyl alcohol is a mixture of cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol. In this sense, the term alcohol does not indicate a fermented drink, but a chemical component that has a specific molecular structure based on carbon and oxygen. It appears as a white solid in granules or flakes with a waxy consistency, insoluble in water and soluble in alcohol. Cetearyl alcohol is used as an emollient and texture factor of the fat phase. Cetearyl alcohol, like all solid fatty alcohols, is mainly used as a consistency factor in cosmetic formulations, both in water/oil and oil/water emulsions, where it gives viscosity to the product without weighing it down and improves its smoothness and spreadability on the skin .

Water : Production water obtained from reverse osmosis filtration, oligomineral water, ie water with a low fixed residue free from impurities.
Shea Butter : It is a species native to West Africa (Sudan, Senegal, Nigeria, Ivory Coast). The plant produces flowers that are green in color with shades of yellow and have a pleasant fragrance. By pressing the seed of the Karatè plant, a butter is obtained composed of oleic acid, stearic acid, palmitoleic acid, linoleic acid.

The populations of the areas of origin use shea both for food and for the care and beauty of the skin and hair. Shea butter is undoubtedly one of the most interesting vegetable lipids available to the cosmetic industry today. Due to its composition, shea butter is a good sunscreen and also a valuable raw material for the treatment and prevention of wrinkles and sagging skin. It is therefore particularly suitable both in sunscreen and after-sun products, and in products intended for the prevention and treatment of skin aging and the prevention of stretch marks. Thanks to its excellent nourishing, restorative and normalizing properties of the skin hydrolipidic film, it is also used in the formulation of cosmetics for dry, dehydrated and hypolipic skin. Triglyceride : Caprylic/capric triglyceride is a synthetic triester of glycerine with C8-C10 acids. It comes in the form of a slightly yellow, slightly viscous, odorless liquid. It is a valid substitute for vegetable oils and compared to the latter it is stable to oxidation because it is completely saturated. The low molecular weight gives it a silky touch. Thanks to the marked emollient properties, it is able to form a lipid film which reduces the loss of water from the stratum corneum. It is a widely used ingredient for the preparation of emulsions and is a versatile and safe ingredient. There are no concentration limits for use.

ECOCERTIFICATE

Evening primrose oil Anti-inflammatory, dermotherapeutic, healing, vitaminizing, nourishing, restorative, moisturizing and eudermic. Traditionally used as a protective and soothing agent for delicate, reddened or superficially damaged skin. It is active against atopic dermatitis and against eczema and useful against acne and skin aging. It is a natural remedy to treat and prevent skin blemishes, because it is very rich in gamma linoleic acid. Lipid Liquid (dec) : Emollient ester with a drier feel.

Vegetable Glycerin : Also called glycerol. It has antioxidant, emollient and moisturizing properties on both skin and hair. It is produced from vegetable oils such as palm oil, coconut oil, soybean oil.
It has a film-forming effect, protecting the skin from dryness and contact abrasions.

It is a viscous, colorless liquid, miscible with water and alcohol. Glycerin is obtained as a by-product in the process of saponification of fats or by hydrolysis of the same: it is first concentrated and undergoes the purification process, with the removal of residual fatty acids and impurities. It is capable of absorbing humidity from the air, regardless of changes in atmospheric humidity conditions. By virtue of its moisturizing, lubricating and emollient properties for the skin, glycerin is used in numerous formulations for dermocosmetic use. Glycerin is used in the cosmetic field and is well tolerated by the skin. At low concentrations it is useful for preserving the product from dehydration, at high dosages it performs an excellent moisturizing and plasticizing activity on the epidermis and, if used in a high percentage within the product (over 40%), it can also a preservative activity. Glycerin is therefore to be considered, from a technological and dermatological point of view, a multifunctional and safe substance. Lecithin (and) Tocopherol (and) Ascorbyl Palmitate : Synergy of plant antioxidants for cosmetic and pharmaceutical products

Preservative : preservative synergy with a broad spectrum of action against bacteria, yeasts and moulds. contains only biodegradable components.
- Ethylhexylglycerin is a compound derived from grains. It comes in the form of a transparent liquid that is slightly soluble in water but fairly miscible with alcohol, glycols and mineral oil. It is used for its antimicrobial properties, especially against gram positives. It has emollient and slightly humectant properties. Ethylhexylglycerin is used in cosmetics as a preservative. The product is particularly active against gram positive bacteria, in particular those responsible for the formation of bad smells and for this reason it is widely used in deodorant products. It represents a valid alternative to parabens.

- Dehydroacetic acid is used in the cosmetic and food fields as a preservative. It comes in the form of a white crystalline powder, slightly soluble in water and odorless. Its antimicrobial activity is limited to yeasts and fungi while it is poorer against bacteria. It is therefore used as a preservative in various cosmetic preparations, such as lotions, creams, hair products, always in association with other antimicrobial substances such as benzyl alcohol, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate or respective acids. It can also be used in eco-certifiable products. It is allowed to use in cosmetics up to a maximum concentration of 0.6% expressed as acid. It is forbidden in the formulation of aerosol products. It is considered a safe and well tolerated ingredient.

- From a chemical point of view, phenoxyethanol is an aromatic ether of ethylene glycol. It appears as a viscous, transparent liquid with a faint rose smell. It is soluble in both water and oil and stable in the absence of hydrochloric acid and strong oxidants. It has significant broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity. The molecule binds to the bacterial wall, blocking vital functions for the bacterial cell, preventing its reproduction and causing its death. It is effective against gram positive and gram negative bacteria, yeasts and moulds. It is used in the cosmetic field as a preservative, in order to preserve products from microbial contamination. It is generally used in concentrations between 0.5% and 0.8% and is permitted for use in cosmetics up to a maximum concentration of 1%. In the field of perfumery, phenoxyethanol is also used as a fixative, thanks to its ability to stabilize fragrances and reduce the speed at which the perfume evaporates. The Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR) Expert Panel recently reviewed this ingredient, concluding that it can be considered safe for cosmetic use at permitted concentrations.

Isodecyl Salicylate : functional substance. Improves the appearance and condition of the skin. its micro-exfoliating action causes a slow movement of the superficial cells that are already old, forcing the deep layers to replace them with younger cells. This is possible because, by moving the cells of the stratum corneum, the cells of the germinal layer must push the new cells towards the surface of the skin where they are able to reconstitute an adequate defense barrier against harmful external agents. In this way the skin will be smooth and the subcutaneous capillaries compact and less dilated (couperose), therefore they are better protected and less visible.

Mixture of Pollen extract, Soy, unsaponifiables of Olive Oil and Wheat Germ (filagrinol) : Filagrin modulator, a fundamental globular protein of the dermis. Correct production of filagrin is important to maintain an adequate level of epidermal hydration, in order to ensure a physiological defense and a true barrier function of the skin as a whole.

Snail Slime : Bio Snail Slime is a pure and microfiltered extract of the secretion of Helix Aspersa, organic and cruelty free, obtained by manual stimulation of the snails; is a concentrate of functional substances with moisturizing, exfoliating, smoothing, regenerating and illuminating properties, indicated for the treatment of stretch marks, scars and skin discolouration.

Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate- (EHMC) : UVB sunscreen approved worldwide, from the most frequent use. It can easily be incorporated into all oily cosmetic raw materials without any problems; it is a good solvent for other sunscreens.
Widely used as a UV-B shielding filter and as an adjunct to UV-A filters: it is used in products with a high protection factor for skin and hair; as it is fat soluble, it is indicated for waterproof products.

Ginseng Glyceric Extract : The active part of the plant has the name of panax, it is contained above all in the root and has saponins and ginsenoids: these substances are able to restore hydration to the skin and are ideal for improving blood microcirculation and toning the skin.
